Economic
Development
MISSION
To
encourage and empower the African American community to
become financial literate and economically self-sufficient
through the development and facilitation of programmatic
initiatives which address the educational and technical
needs of our youth and those of the broader community.
PROGRAMS
FLiP
(Financial Literacy in Partnership)
The 100 is focused on FLiPping the all too often norms
about money and the fact that minority students are not
learning enough about how money works at school or at
home. FLiP gives participants living examples of good
savings models, investing, and a since of belonging.
The goal of this program is to help students understand
basic savings/investment principles and to apply these
standards in their day-to-day lives.
