PROGRAMS
DOLLARS & $ENSE
INVESTMENT EDUCATION PROGRAM
The Dollars and $ense Investment Education Program
(Dollars and $ense) is a financial literacy program
authored by the National Association of Investors
Corporation. This
program was designed to provide high school students,
grades 9 though 12, with the opportunity to learn and
apply “best practice” strategies for saving
and investing. The goal of this program
is to help students understand basic savings/investment
principles and to apply these standards in their day-to-day
lives.
In December 2006,
the Tampa Bay Chapter delegates placed 2nd overall in
the national competition held in Miami, FL and received
$1,000 scholarships. With the collaborative
assistance of the NFL YET centers, the 100 Black Men of
Tampa Bay will hold a local Youth Investment Competition
December 15, 2007 at USF.
